Yes and many Jibidee users stay with the free account because it includes so much - calendar, address book, photo albums, lists, notes, document upload, sharing, and mobile access. Our free account is not a "trial" and the free limits are roomy, 100 list/note sheets and 100MB storage. Fax is not free but is only $29/year and includes your own local or toll-free number.

The free account provides for unlimited calendar appointments, unlimited contacts, 100 list/note sheets and 100MB (megabytes) of photo and document storage. 100MB is about 100-200 typical photos depending on quality/resolution. 100MB is also typically enough for several hundred documents or scanned document pages.

We are serious about security. Our servers are backed-up daily, firewall protected, regularly scanned by Trust Guard™ for intrusion vulnerabilities, and housed in a 53,000 square foot tier-one data center with physical/biometric security. User data is SSL encrypted from Thawte® and you can backup your information on Jibidee to your local computer for extra piece of mind.

None of the information you have stored in Jibidee is viewable to the general public and is not discoverable by search engines. Only with your password can your account be accessed and you can set a second password on specific documents that you want extra secure. Anything you choose to share is visible only with those you specify and viewable only in their separate account.

Yes, for mobile access we've developed a small-screen, fast-loading version of Jibidee where you can view all your information. Most mobile devices will auto-detect and auto-load this version, otherwise simply enter jibidee.com/mobile.

Word processors and spreadsheets (Microsoft Office, Google Docs) are geared for single, large documents that need enhanced formatting, calculations, or advanced functions such as for business and school users. Jibidee lists and notes are designed for the simple "mini documents" of home/personal life and has a light, personalized, aesthetic look and feel.

Outlook is email, calendar, and task management software, typically for the working/corporate professional. Jibidee is for the home/personal user and does not aim to replace Outlook. Outlook does some things Jibidee does not (email, integration with Exchange Server, etc.) and Jibidee provides some things Outlook does not (free account, lists, photo albums, fax, etc.).

Other list sites can be complicated or too limited. For example, most are geared toward to-do lists and don't provide for a multi-column list (e.g. Diet/Meal Tracker with columns for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks, Calories, etc.). Some sites require you to enter a priority and end date on every task for a simple to-do list. Jibidee focuses on being simple, friendly and flexible.

Yes and it's quite simple. Just open a new rows/columns sheet or use the starter template provided. The columns can be something like item, purchase date, purchase price, and photo. In the photo column, simply link to the photo you have taken for that item. You can do this kind of "linking" with other types of lists also, a list of documents, recipes, etc.

Yes, simply create a new note sheet and start typing or cut and paste from another source. You can also privately share the recipe with others and also create an "index" sheet that lists all your recipes with links to each.

Yes, you can cut and paste text from another source directly into almost anywhere in Jibidee (list/note sheets, calendar, address book, etc.) or copy/paste from Jibidee to other programs.

Most websites for photo uploading and sharing are public (Facebook) or have a public sharing focus (Flickr). Jibidee photo albums are designed for simple safekeeping and private sharing. Share privately only with those friends and family you specify.

Almost any document on your computer or any scanned paper document (contracts, deed, warranty, receipts, etc.) can be uploaded to your Jibidee account for safekeeping (protected in the event of home fire, etc.). And once uploaded, documents can be viewed, printed, privately shared or faxed right inside of Jibidee.

You can upload any scanned document or image file format (jpg, tif, gif, etc.) and just about any electronic document format (doc, docx, pdf, xls, xlsx, ppt, pptx, rtf, txt, etc.). Once uploaded, these documents are saved and viewable directly within your Jibidee account or securely on your mobile device.

With Jibidee fax (virtual fax), similar to a fax machine, you get a dedicated fax number (local or toll-free). When you receive a faxed document, you can find it both in your email as an attachment and also in your Jibidee account. To send a fax, select a file directly from your computer hard drive or scan in a paper document. Jibidee fax is less hassle and less paper.

Everybody needs to send or receive a fax once in a while. Jibidee makes it easy and inexpensive. And it's a great way to get those important paper documents into your Jibidee account for safekeeping if you don't have a scanner. Just take the paper documents to a fax machine and fax them to your personal Jibidee fax number...they'll be instantly added to your Jibidee account.

It's simple and private. Click the "Share" button on any individual list, note, document, or photo album. Then just select one or more people you know from your address book or enter their email address. The system will immediately auto send each person you've selected an email with a link to your item.

No, people you select to share an item with only have view-only access to that specific item, viewable only in their separate Jibidee account.

Any change you make to an item you've shared will immediately reflect to the person(s) you've shared with (recipient). If you delete a shared item, it is no longer visible to the people you've shared with. The exception is if the recipient had previously made a copy of your item.

At any time you can open the share window for a particular item and remove one or more of the share recipients. The person(s) you remove will no longer have access to your shared item while the remaining recipients will continue to have access. The person(s) you remove will not be notified that they no longer have access to your item.

Membership is not required. You can share with anyone that has an email address. When the non-member receives your share invite email and clicks the link, he or she is auto signed-in to Jibidee as a "guest" and your specific shared item is viewable to them.

Your shared item is not visible to anyone other than those you specify by email address. So if one of your share recipients forwards the invite email, the link will not provide access to your shared item.

No, Jibidee is a closed private website. Information on Jibidee can only be accessed by the owner user and those he or she chooses to share specific items with.

Jibidee has a very robust free account but for users that want more, upgrades are available. We currently have upgrades, a la carte pricing, for increased storage, no ads, fax service, local backup, and extra password protection. You can view our upgrades pricing table here.

Once you are logged into your personal Jibidee account, simply click the "Upgrade" link at the top. There you will be able to check off the upgrade(s) that you would like. Upgrades are prepaid annual subscriptions. If you subscribe to $42 or more at one time, you can subscribe monthly starting at $3.50/month.

Yes, and we make it easy. You can self-cancel directly on the site, on the same upgrades screen you purchased from, no hassle. For prepaid subscriptions, if you cancel within 30 days of purchase, we will refund your money (minus any used fax minutes). After 30 days, you can cancel and receive a credit for unused months or fax minutes. For monthly subscriptions, cancel anytime and you will not be charged for the following month.

Yes, when you purchase a prepaid annual subscription, unless you cancel, your credit card will be automatically charged the same amount after 365 days, paying for the following year. Monthly subscriptions auto-renew indefinitely until you cancel. As described above, cancellation is easy and no hassle. Also, for annual subscriptions, we will notify you via email at least 10 days prior to the recurring charge so that you have time to cancel or allow the auto-renew.

We have taken industry standard precautions to protect your credit card information. Our servers are scanned and certified regularly by Trust Guard™ for intrusion vulnerabilities. We do not store credit card information on our servers, it is sent directly and securely to our payment gateway provider Authorize.net® via SSL encryption from Thawte®.

We backup all Jibidee user information daily on our servers but you can, for additional peace of mind, enable the "local backup" feature which will, at the click of a mouse, backup all of your account information to your local hard drive.
